In one Rwanda poem the royal name, 'Ntare, suggests to the poet the term intare, lion; he does not make a direct substitution of one name for the other, but 'veils' the royal lion by talking about the qualities of the animal, and so refers to the king by such terms as 'Hunter of zebras', 'Clamour of the forests', 'Mane-carrier' (Kagame 1951fr: 17). As can be seen, most of the subjects experienced joy while listening to music. The home was often permeated with a more complex social structure than the classroom; complicated interpersonal power relations played out with various members of the family and extended family living under the same roof, a common phenomenon in Chinese immigrant families.
