Finally, to neaten the connections out, I used two 8-pin headers for the outputs to the lasers and range sensors. A toggle can be a bit of wooden dowel ¼ inch in diameter, a thick bit of metal (at least one harpmaker takes finishing nails and cuts the head off), or a thick piece of wire crimped to have a zig–zag in it to help prevent the knot from slipping off. About 5 hours total assembly time, including stringing and tuning.

They are light and portable: you could carry either model on the bus, or while riding a bicycle, and the Zephyr model even fits in the overhead storage of most airplanes. Lap harps (e.g. small harps with 19-25 strings) are less likely to come with a full set of levers. One attachment is a metal grate with narrow slots. Bowing (Italian: arco) is a method used in some string instruments, including the violin, viola, cello, and the double bass (of the violin family ), and the old viol family. Other types of harps, such as traditional folk harps or historical instruments, can have any number of strings within a fairly large range, from small Celtic lap harps or Medieval harps with hardly over a dozen strings, to large chromatic triple harps with a number of strings in the nineties. If a harp teacher refers to "standard string spacing" or "standard string tension," be leery. (See our articles on Harp Myths ) If a teacher says that the harp is only played with the flesh of the fingers and you'll have to cut your nails, be leery. No 5 (Philadelphia, Type 1, c. 1885): 28 strings, 5 bars, 8 shifters, for a total of 13 chords; The No. 5 was a popular model. This method of fixating the strings to the rib improves the efficiency of the vibration exchange from the strings to the soundboard.
