The Fairy Godmother (2004) is an amusing take on a standard fairy tale plot, with the title character turning a prince into a donkey. Starting in the late 1980s Masterton began writing short horror tales with some regularity, several of which are quite good. The central character is a woman whose great love died while still young. Some of the 'broader' genres listed here might be thought of as 'descriptive' or 'functional' categories instead, and there is no real agreement on which is which.
