On July 6th, we celebrated the premiere of the very first episode of Eat! Drink! Italy! with Vic Rallo at the Count Basie Theatre in Red Bank, New Jersey. Art of Play with special guest Eli Rallo opened up for Eat! Drink! Italy! host Vic Rallo, who told the audience a little about how he got on television, and about the new trend sweeping the nation, #vicing. The lights dimmed, and the audience enjoyed the world premiere of the first episode of Eat! Drink! Italy! with Vic Rallo. Applause and laughter accompanied each segment as the audience watched Victor make cheese in a bunker from World War 2, make delicious Tuscan Chicken salad with a Michelin starred chef, and audition as a beekeeper on an organic bee farm.
After the episode was over, the show went on with a live cooking demonstration as Vic and Anthony Verdoni prepared a delicious bruschetta with fresh tomatoes, onions, olive oil and tossed with short cut rigatoni pasta. Three delighted members of the audience were chosen to come on stage and get a taste. The show took a short intermission before New Jersey native band Burlap to Cashmere took the stage for a stunning set to close out the fantastic evening.
